(HELP WANTED: Entries, Judges, and Stewards)
 

The Blues‘N’Brews Homebrew Contest will be held on August 15, 2009.  Awards will be awarded in conjunction with the 2009 Blues 'n' Brews Festival on August 22, 2009. This homebrew competition is AHA and BJCP sanctioned.

Eligibility: Any person who can legally brew may enter. Entries must be homemade. Beverages made at commercial locales, including brew-on-premise establishments, are not eligible. All entries (beer, ciders, and meads) have the opportunity to make it to Best of Show.
 

Entry Fee: $5.00 per entry. Please make checks payable to Peter Girourard.
 

Entry Requirements: Include three 12 oz. glass bottles per entry. If less than three bottles are submitted, the entry might not be able to be considered for Best of Show.

Prizes:
Best of Show Simon Pierce Hand-blown Glass Mug, 2nd and 3rd place entries get gift certificates to Northern Brewer Homebrew Supply and AHA Ribbons. Other prizes (TBD) for best of flight beers generously donated by our sponsors.

Judges and Stewards: Please contact Thia St. Martin via email at tbaboval@yahoo.com with your BJCP information. She will get back to you with any further info he may need and the location of the Judging.  There will be swag and entry into the Blues’N’Brews festival for helping out.
 

How to Enter: Click On Form To Download

• Complete an Entry Form (one per brewer, NOT one per entry) for all entries. Only one entry per BJCP style subcategory will be accepted for judging. The 2008 guidelines will be used for this competition.

Please email the completed Entry Form to Thia St. Martin at tbaboval@yahoo.comTo do this, download the entry form as a pdf, fill out the form by typing your info into the highlighted boxes, save the pdf and email to Thia.  This will provide time for us to get additional info about your beer if needed and will ensure that you get the fairest and most accurate evaluation of your beer.

 

 

 

 

 

• Attach a bottle Identification Form, using a rubber band, to each bottle.   Bottles must contain a minimum of 10 ounces, be free of labels or other distinguishing marks, and caps must be plain or blacked out.

• Include with your entries a copy of the completed Entry Form and a check for the entry fees made out to Peter Girourard.  If you desire judge feedback, please include a self-addressed envelope.

• Deliver entries by Sunday, August 2, 2009 (except as noted below) to a drop-off location.
